At Picaboo, our mission has always been simple: help people capture and preserve the moments that matter most.

This April, for Autism Awareness Month, I wanted to share something a little more personal.

As a mom of a child with autism, I’ve come to see the world a bit differently. The milestones, the routines, the small wins, these moments may not always look the same as they do for other families, but they carry just as much meaning, if not even more.

That’s what inspired the video we’re sharing this week.

There’s a common misconception about autism, especially Level 1 autism, which is part of our family’s journey. People often assume autism fits into a single definition or should look a certain way, or that someone is “not autistic enough.”

But autism is a spectrum, and Level 1 doesn’t mean “no support needs” it often means differences that aren’t always immediately visible. It can look like deep focus, strong routines, sensory sensitivities, or experiencing the world in a way that’s beautifully unique but one that wasn’t built for them.

At Picaboo, we help people tell their stories. Not just the highlight reels, but the real moments, the ones that shape who we are. For many families, those stories include experiences that are unique, challenging, beautiful, and deeply personal.

Sharing this video wasn’t about promoting a product. It was about acknowledging that every story, every personal win, every day deserves to be seen, understood, and remembered.

As a brand, we believe in celebrating all kinds of journeys. And as a parent, I believe in capturing the moments that matter, especially the ones that others might not always notice.

If this video does anything, I hope it helps broaden understanding, spark empathy, and remind families that their story matters.

Because every story does.?
