Looking for a way to entertain your children on cold and stormy days? Inspire them to work with you to create an
"Indoor Activities" book filled with crafts, cooking projects, and game ideas that they can refer to when they are tired
of being stuck indoors.
Begin by sitting down with your children and making a list of at least 20 indoor activities that they enjoy. If you are having trouble coming
up with ideas, try searching on the internet. Many sites provide a list of creative ideas that other parents have enjoyed with their children.
Once you have created your activities list, ask your children to draw pictures that you can use illustrate each activity.
When they are finished, scan their drawings and save them as high resolution (300dpi) .jpg files.
You can also take photos of your children participating in these activities so they will remember how much fun they had in previous winters.
When you are ready to create your book, have your children help arrange the photos they have created in their "Indoor Activities"
book. Add custom winter backgrounds and corners to personalize each page. When you are finished, order a professionally bound copy that they can use next time you hear the dreaded phrase, "I'm bored."
