With Picaboo, adding keepsakes to your digital album has never been easier. Get started by scanning your keepsakes and saving them as high resolution .jpg images into a folder on your desktop. You may need to adjust the DPI setting to 300 DPI to ensure that your keepsakes will look beautiful in print.


After you have scanned and saved your keepsakes, simply open a book in Picaboo and click the "Get Pictures" button. Locate your new folder and select the keepsake images that you would like to add to your book. The new images will appear in the media tray at the bottom of your editing page. Simply select a page layout and drag and drop your keepsakes onto your page.


The sample pages above contain heritage pictures, a vintage driver's license, and handmade doilies that were scanned and saved as .jpg images before they were added to the page layouts. There are a wide variety of keepsakes that can be added to your book. A few ideas are listed below to help you get started:


For Baby Albums: baby shower invitation, ultrasound pictures, birth certificate, hospital bracelets, newspaper announcements, congratulatory cards


For Travel Albums: passports, itineraries, airplane tickets, maps, brochures, journal pages


For Wedding Albums: the invitation, notes from planning, newspaper announcements, congratulatory cards, marriage license, love notes


For Kids' Books: artwork and drawings, report cards, special pieces of schoolwork, awards, diplomas, first driver's license, first pay check


For Heritage Albums: vintage photos, notes and journals pages, recipe cards, newspaper clippings, art
