My mother-in-law took her five children to the Azores in Portugal to show them where she and my father-in-law grew up in July and August of 2007.

This is an experience that took a great deal of planning and to know that everyone was able to join in and share in this together, it did a great deal to reconnect the family bond.

I think my personal family will benefit from this because now my husband and I are able to share these experiences with our three children, and perhaps when they are older, we will be able to revisit this island to show them all these wonderful things we learned.
