My husband and I wanted to give his grandmother a special present for this past Christmas. After long brainstorming sessions, we finally decided to make it for his grandmother and grandfather and with the help of his sneaky mom, we managed to get our hands on a box of old photos in their home.

Aged, yellowed, and forgotten, at the bottom of the pile was this small tattered book with the words "Our Wedding" on the front. My husband and I sat there, our jaws hanging at the pictures inside! I don't think we have ever seen them before. It was the pictures from their wedding, back in April 1950. They looked so happy and there was even a picture in the back where they were kissing each other, so in love. I was so excited! These pictures not only showed their love for each other, so brand new, but it also needed to be kept record of - for family's sake! My husband and I saw our son had his great-grandfather's chin! His dimples! Things we needed.

So I spent an afternoon and scanned all their pictures into our computer, restored them the best I could (I don't have a degree!!! I just made them black and white, and did some cropping), and then headed straight for the Picaboo site. I gathered a bunch of backgrounds, and organized the order I wanted the pictures in, and after a few phone calls clarifying some details, I managed to re-create a wedding album in no time!

That Christmas, when they opened the book, it brought tears to their eyes and ours. Memories were flooding back to them, and even my husband's stiff, stern grandfather had a glow on his face as he named everyone in the pictures from so long ago! He was also very proud to see that his great-grandson indeed, had his chin and his dimples.
