Our daughter Danelle has loved to cook since she was a small girl. If I was baking cookies, she wanted to be in the middle of the process. She found out early what it meant to serve people by baking her way to their tummies. We recently celebrated her 23rd birthday and I wanted to give her something special. I thought of a Picaboo recipe book filled with recipes of food she enjoyed when she was growing up. I already had experience at this from our oldest daughter's wedding album that I created the previous year. As I began to search for photos of Danelle cooking, I discovered that most of them were paper back photos and the book might not turn out as well as I had originally planned. Digital photos are the easiest to work with. I began to scan them at a high resolution and started building her recipe book. As I finished, I was very pleased. A week later, when I received Danelle's Recipe Book in the mail, I found it to be a master piece of recipes and photos dating back generations in our family. It was perfect. She was amazed at how beautiful the book was and what a special heirloom this will be for her daughter to one day enjoy. Thanks Picaboo for helping me created a memory and a beautiful one at that.
