Your grandparents will love showing their friends what each of their grandchildren has accomplished this year using their
special brag book.
Help your child identify all of the unique characteristics that make them stand out from the crowd with a custom photo book
that you can read together again and again.
Get started by identifying your child's favorite things, the activities they excel at, and the personality traits that they
possess. Examples of favorite things may include their favorite color, animal, vehicle, season, holiday, ice cream flavor,
etc. Activities could include sports, arts and crafts, games, school activities, family outings, etc. Personality traits such
as kindness, willingness to share, patience, thankfulness, attention to detail, honesty, creativity, etc.
Once you have made a list of these features, think about ways you can represent them in a photo book through pictures and
text.
For example, to represent a willingness to share you could take pictures of your child interacting with one of their siblings
or friends and sharing their favorite toy. To represent their achievements in arts and crafts, try scanning a few of their
masterpieces and adding the images to their book.
When you have finished deciding on the different characteristics of your child that you would like to include in your book,
gather the pictures, scanned images, and text that you would like to add and create a new book in Picaboo.
Begin your book with a picture of yourself and a special message about what inspired you to create this book. You may also
want to include the date the book was created and the age your child was when you presented the book to them.
Devote a page or two to each special characteristic of your child and use custom backgrounds, fonts, and corners so that each
page portrays that feature. For example, if you are talking about your child's favorite things and their favorite color is
yellow, use a yellow background with text that is a different shade of yellow and a picture of your child wearing a yellow
shirt.
When you have finished your book, you and your child will be able to read through it together again and again. Your child
will not only know how much you love them, but will also recognize and be proud of the many special features that make them
who they are.
