Tina and Jason's Story
Shared by Tina |
View book. Jason and I met 10 years ago this coming Christmas. We were both out with friends (not mutual) at the local pool hall. After
a few hours of shooting pool and playing video games I was ready to go home. As I was gathering my friends an interesting
stranger leaned towards me, told me he had a present for me, and handed me a piece of paper. I, being a rather shy person
thanked him and quickly left the building. Once we got outside I realized that he had given me his phone number. Intrigued,
I quickly wrote my number down on a piece of paper and had a friend run back into the pool hall to give it to him.
After a few days had gone by and I hadn't heard from him, I was feeling a little disappointed. So, I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone and give him a phone call. It surprised me when he answered the phone, but unfortunately he explained to me that he couldn't talk because he was on his way out the door to visit some family for the holidays. He asked if he could call me when he returned and I told him I would await his phone call. A few more days went by and then, finally, he called me. We talked on the phone for hours that night and every night for the next week. We eventually decided to meet back at the pool hall the next weekend. The rest is history. We dated for 5 years before we decided to buy a house together, 8 years before we got engaged and 9 years before our wedding. In that time we had never been on a luxurious vacation together so we figured we would make our honeymoon the best trip we had ever been on. We went to Aruba and stayed at the Renaissance Ocean Suites. It was absolutely beautiful and can not wait to return there for our one year anniversary. |
