As I was leaving work, I ran into my friend, Julie. She was escorting a contract worker, Lyndel out of the building. Julie and I chatted, and Lyndel and I exchanged hellos. His kind smile caught my attention, and I couldn't stop thinking about him. The next day, I asked Julie to fill me in.

She had known Lyndel for approximately seven years and said that he was one of the nicest men I would ever meet. I asked her if she would introduce us the next time he came into work. She laughed and said, "But it would have to be on a good hair day."

Two months passed and, out of the blue, I got a call from Julie. The first thing she said to me was: "Are you having a good hair day?" Oh my gosh, he's here, I thought. I took a deep breath and walked into the lab. Julie and I talked briefly, and then she introduced me to Lyndel. I was so nervous; I made a quick exit. Julie asked him what he thought about me. He told her that I was cute, and when she offered him my number - he took it!

Two weeks later, Lyndel called me from New York. During the course of our conversation, we discovered that we ahd a lot in common: We had both divorced within four months of each other. We each had a son and a daughter. Our birthdays were in November, just two days apart. We had grown up within a couple of miles of each other and even knew some of the same people. We couldn't wait to meet!

On our first date, we walked right up to each other and hugged. By the third date, Lyndel told me that he loved me. I didn't respond because I thought: How can you love someone so fast? But inside, I knew that I had strong feelings for him, too. (Later, he confessed that at that point he was ready to marry me.) We saw each other more and more, knowing where this relationship was headed. We had found our soul mate - somthing neither of us had experienced before.

On March 13th, he took me to the spot where we shared our first kiss and pulled out a ring. We were married on June 11th of the next year.
