Each member of your family has special gifts and talents that they are proud of. Show them how much you value their creations by displaying their works in a custom "Art Gallery" book.

Getting Started

1. Start by collecting pictures of paintings, quilts, pottery, woodworking, digital graphics, sewing projects, and other crafts and hobbies that your family members created. You may wish to scan some items instead of taking pictures of them. If you do, be sure to save them as high resolution (300 dpi) .jpg images.
2. Along with your pictures, collect written art such as stories, poems, and songs to include in your gallery.
3. If many members of your family live out of town, send an email asking everyone to send you pictures of the artwork they are most proud of along with a short description of the piece and how they created it. You can also ask them to send a recent photo of themselves to include alongside their artwork.
4. Decide upon an organizational theme for your book. You could organize it according to type of art, age, or color scheme.

Creating Your "Family Art Gallery" Book

1. Create a new book in Picaboo and select the Portfolio theme. This will pre-fill your book with black backgrounds which work well to highlight artwork and create a professional look.
2. Add the pictures and text you have gathered to your book.

When you are finished creating your book, use Picaboo's Share function to send a digital copy to everyone in your family and order a professionally bound copy to display on your coffee table the next time your relatives come for a visit.
