Celebrate Dad's life with a Biography Photo Book.
Next >>

Create a Father's Day tribute that celebrates your dad's entire life. This is the perfect gift for families with grown children since everyone can contribute their favorite memories to give dad a gift that he will truly treasure.

To create your Father's Day Biography book, begin by gathering photographs and keepsakes from your father's childhood, college days, and early family life. Create a digital copy of any printed photos or paper keepsakes by scanning them and saving the items as high resolution (300 dpi) .jpg images. If you don't have access to a scanner, your local photo center will likely be able to help you create digital copies of your favorite family photos.

As you are collecting photos of your father's life, ask your siblings and older relatives to share stories, quotes, and favorite memories that you will be able to use to narrate your father's biography book. You may also want to ask them to write a brief letter to your father. Include these letters next to pictures of your father with each different family member. It is often helpful to type up your notes in a word document so that you can spell check them before copying and pasting them into your Picaboo book.

Once you have gathered your photos, quotes and stories, create a new book in Picaboo. Add your photos and arrange them in chronological order. Use layouts with text boxes to add facts, quotes, and stories from your father's life.

When you have completed your biography book, be sure to share an online copy for free with the friends and relatives that helped you create it and order a hardbound copy to present to your dad this Father's Day.
