1. What is Picaboo?
Picaboo is a free software program for creating and buying photo books.

2. What is the Picaboo Affiliate Program?
The Picaboo Affiliate program is a fast and easy way to make money by introducing your friends, family, or website visitors to Picaboo. We'll provide you with the graphics, text links, and tools you need to tell your friends and site visitors about Picaboo. Then, we'll pay you up to $21 for each new customer you send our way. You'll also get a 10% commission on return purchases made within the first 90 days after your site visitor or friend clicks on your link to Picaboo.

Here's how it works: You'll get the first $1 when someone you have referred downloads Picaboo and creates an account. Then, you'll get an additional $20 when they order their first book from Picaboo within 90 days after clicking on your link. You'll also get 10% of any additional purchases that are made within that 90 day return window.

3. Who can join the Picaboo Affiliate Program?
Anyone in the United States or Canada who wants to make money by telling their friends, relatives, or site visitors about Picaboo is qualified to join. You are not required to have a web site to join our affiliate program.

4. Does it cost anything to join?
Nope! It is absolutely free to join our Affiliate Program. Once you are approved, you can start spreading the news about Picaboo and begin earning commissions almost immediately. There is no minimum sales requirement and you can cancel at any time.

5. How do I sign up?
There are just 2 easy steps. First, read through and agree to our Affiliate Agreement. Then, fill our online Application Form. We will review your application right away and send you an email to let you know if you've been accepted. In the email, we will also give you detailed directions about how to get started.

6. Is my web site eligible to join the Picaboo Affiliate Program?
We encourage all sites that are interested in making money by promoting Picaboo to apply. Sites that cater to the following areas or groups are particularly well suited to promote Picaboo:

  • Moms
  • Scrapbooking
  • Wedding
  • Clubs and Organizations
  • Pets
  • Photography
  • Sports
  • Hobbies
  • Travel
  • Social Networks

Prior to approval we will review each site to screen for the following unsuitable content:

  • Content that may be deemed pornographic or offensive
  • Content that promotes violence, illegal activities, or discrimination
  • Content that displays inappropriate coupon codes which have not been approved by the Affiliate Management Team
  • Use of questionable marketing practices such as cookie-stuffing and overwriting links
Once your site has been approved, it will be reviewed again from time to time. If, at any time, we determine that your site is inappropriate, we reserve the right to remove your site from the Picaboo Affiliate Program.

9. Can a website outside of the United States or Canada become an Affiliate?
No. At this time we are only accepting affiliate applications from applicants in the United States and Canada.

10. If I operate more than one website, can I still be an Affiliate?
Yes.

11. After I have been accepted, what do I do next?
In your acceptance email, you will receive detailed instructions about how to add Picaboo banners and text links to your website or email. We will provide you with all of the code you will need so that all you have to do is copy and paste it into your website or email.

When you are ready to see how your links are performing, you will also be able to access reports that will allow you to see how many visitors have clicked on each graphic you have used.

12. Will you provide me with graphics and banners that I can use to promote Picaboo?
Yes! Not only will we provide you with a variety of graphics and banners in a wide range of sizes and themes, we will also provide text links such as single words, descriptions, and customer testimonials. You can select whichever graphics and text links work best for your particular site or email. You can access these resources with your user name and password by logging into our Get Links page once you are approved.

13. How do I put links to Picaboo on my site?
We will provide you with all the code you need to add links to Picaboo to your site. Simply sign in, browse through our collection of graphics and select the one you'd like to use. Then, copy and paste the pre-generated text into your HTML. At the end of the code will be your unique affiliate identification number which will allow us to track each site visitor you send to Picaboo.

14. How will you know what Registered Users or New Customers came from my site?
Each link that you receive through your affiliate emails or our Get Links site will contain your unique Affiliate ID that will allow us to track each user that comes to Picaboo from your site.

15. What is LinkShare?
Picaboo uses LinkShare as our Affiliate Service Provider (www.linkshare.com). LinkShare is the largest provider of affiliate programs on the Internet. When you join the Picaboo affiliate program, you will create a user name and password which will allow you easily access your personal Affiliate Account which is hosted by LinkShare. From your personal account you will be able to access new banners and text links as well track how well each Picaboo link on your site is performing.

16. How can I check what commissions I've earned?
Once your application has been approved, you will be able to log in to your affiliate account and view exactly how much you have earned in real time. In addition to your earnings, you will also be able to check how well each one of your Picaboo banners or text links is performing.

17. How often do I get paid?
Each month a check will be mailed to you at the billing address that you specified when you filled out your Affiliate Application. The check will include your total earnings for the previous month.

18. What does a Registered User mean?
A registered user is someone who downloads Picaboo, creates an account, and runs the Picaboo Software. You will receive a $1 bounty each time a visitor from your site becomes a Registered User.

19. What is a New Customer?
A New Customer is someone who has created a Picaboo account AND buys their first photo book from Picaboo. You will receive a $20 bounty each time a visitor from your site who has downloaded Picaboo and created an account purchases their first book.

20. What are the 90 Return Days?
The 90 Return Days mean that you will still earn commission for a Registered User or a New Customer up to 90 days after you refer someone to Picaboo. For example, if a visitor to your site decides to download Picaboo and creates an account, but does not purchase a book right away, you will still get commission anytime that Registered User purchases a book within 90 days after visiting your site. You will also receive a 10% commission on any additional purchases made by that new customer within the 90 day period.

21. Can I bid on Picaboo.com on search engines?
No, we strictly prohibit Affiliates from bidding on the trademark "Picaboo" or any variation on any search engine. We also prohibit the use of the trademark "Picaboo" in any page titles or meta data.

22. What if a New Customer returns their book?
Due to the high quality of our photo books, we are able to offer a 100% guarantee policy. Unlike other affiliate programs, we won't take your commissions away from you if a user returns a book. However, we will be monitoring percentage of returns for each affiliate. If this percentage is higher than average, we will have to start debiting the commission you received for these users from your Affiliate Account.
