Howard Field
Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Howard co-founded Picaboo with college friend and bamboo.com co-founder, Kevin McCurdy.  The genesis of the Picaboo concept was spawned by a combination of their desire to share a growing library of digital pictures and their family's passion for enjoying albums and scrapbooks.

Prior to creating Picaboo, Howard co-founded bamboo.com in 1995 with Kevin after graduating from college. Having developed innovative 360-degree panoramic imaging technology for the then-emerging World Wide Web, Howard and Kevin applied their creation to a common transaction frought with frustration that steals days of precious family time - shopping for a home.  In an effort to save time and make the home-buying experience more fun and efficient, Howard and Kevin pioneered the market for virtual tours of real estate.

After signing a deal with Canada's largest real estate company, the real estate virtual tour industry was launched with Howard driving 3,000 miles across Canada personally visiting thousands of real estate agents from hundreds of branch offices, while Kevin processed virtual tours and posted them to the Web. Howard and Kevin moved the company to Palo Alto, CA in mid-1998 to expand their business throughout the US.

Serving as bamboo.com's Senior Vice President of Business Development, Howard played a key role in establishing bamboo's market leadership position by signing distribution, marketing and sales agreements with almost every major real estate company, multiple listing service and real estate website in the US and Canada.  After bamboo.som's IPO on Nasdaq in August 1999, Howard continued to play a key role in guiding and executing the company's strategic vision which resulted in the company becoming the world's largest provider of digital imaging infrastructure for the Internet in such areas as online real estate, auction listings and classified ads.

Howard graduated magna cum laude from Babson College with a bachelors of science degree in business administration in 1995.
